DayDreaming

Friday, March 11, 2011

Hi!  guess what... Its Friday field-trip day  BA DA ba Ba BA I'm loving it!!!!  That's my fam's Friday song. Okay, now on to serious bid-ness.  When you where a kid, did you ever got caught daydreaming in class? HONK!!! Time's up.  If you answered and you said yes, Tisk!  You're a disgrace. But if you said no, good! Here's how it goes...  You daydream, but every minute or so you tune in, so that if you get called on you don't look like a fool.
I daydream about important stuff.  Like...what I'm going to do when I grow up; about tests that I've taken; art class; why I'm not another person; and about the good book I'm reading.  While others in my class dream about bizarre things.  Like my friend, Lily.  All she thinks about is food: pie, tacos, chocolate, (then again, who doesn't dream about chocolate??).  And she thinks about hurting the person next to her, (a boy she doesn't like).
Enough about daydreaming.  Let's talk glue.  I like to play with glue. It's fun to put a glop of glue on my index finger and squish it with my thumb.  Then pull my fingers apart and wait for a while.  When the glue dries, I can peel it off like a second skin.  It tickles me!  Sometimes I get a piece of paper and glue stuff down to it so that it's smooth.  I wait for a while until it dries, then it's a great picture with lots of texture, kind of like the fossil pictures in my science book.  (That thing is heavy -- the science book, I mean.)  Mop.  I wonder what it would be like to try to mop up glue?  Would the glue have enough time to dry -- like in the cartoons -- before the person moved the mop?  Or would it just be a sticky mess?  It'd take a while to peel that off.
          .....hmmmm, something to daydream about.....

I HATE MUSIC

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Hi! It's Sidney J As you can see my topic is "I hate music"; not all music, just school music. I don't like music class. My teacher is more into music than me, and she expects LOTS from us. Of which, I can not deliver because I suck at playing the recorder. Also, in the lunch room, they make us listen to multiplication songs that tone deaf people sang. I hate them (the songs, not the tone deaf singers). When the songs are on, we have to be silent, or sing along. They've just started making us listen to these songs, two every 15 minutes. Me and my friends are starting a petition against them.

In other news, I found a new book to read today. It's called Code Orange, by Caroline B. Cooney. It's about a kid named Mitty Blake. He has to do an assignment on a disease of his choice. He finds a book his parents have and finds a scab with a whole new disease on it. The disease spreads all around New York City. It's an edge-of-your-seat book!

Now, I'm going to go back to talking about my music teacher. She makes us practice the recorder and perform songs to earn "strings," which are tied to the end of our instruments. They signify our progress. (<-- says my Mom...) I unravel my strings then braid each color into one long strand, for the heck of it. (Hope you don't do this during class... [<-- Mom, again!] I'm sorry for the commentary; my mom is typing this for me.)

I have to go, do my homework, but check back later because I'm going to post an entry to my mom's Bernard Pivot Blogfest. See you then!

Peace out.

Friends, homework, and fifth grade

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Hi! I'm Sidney!!! I haven't blogged in almost a year! So guess what!, I'm in the FIFTH GRADE! As I'm typing this my mom is correcting me on spelling, I am a VERY bad speller.

I have so much to say! So I'll start with books.I've read so mamy good ones. I'll go in order. First The Maze Runner  by James Dashner, who also wrote the Scorch Trials (the sequel). It's about a 16 year old kid that wakes up only knowing his name in a big metal box, when it opens he finds like 40 other boys staring down at him. Next, Paranormalcy by Kiersten White about a 16 year old girl that can see through paranormal glamors  and lives in the IPCA which is a organization that captures and secures paranormals. Both authors have blogs, so I've made their names links J'.[[ I  just learned wingdings!

Hey, anyone know how to deal  with hormonal tween girls? If you find out PLEASE tell me !
Thats all the time I have.  I have to go do homework :(   Bye!

Feeling Better and Bubbly

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Hey, so earlier my big brother posted that I was sick. True I was, but my family took care of me, and now I'm better! I want to thank Codeman for taking care of me when we were the only people up.

Now I want to talk about a different subject... Bubbles! If you saw my page, you know that I LOVE bubbles. Bubbles are cool; they're like soap but round and floaty. Popping them is fun too. When you touch them, your finger gets sticky and I like the feeling of it. Their shadows are colorful. What I mean is when you look on concrete, just under the bubble, it's colorful.

That is all I have to say about bubbles! Peace out.

Spring, spring what a wondeful thing.

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Hi, It's your little sis Sid here.

What's your favorite spring memory? Mine was on April 18th 2000. (LOL, that's my birthday!) Spring is full of cool and not so cool opportunities, for example spring cleaning, time change:(, stuff blooms:), sport season, and if you are in school like me, spring pictures.

This spring, I started softball. It's a very interesting experience. I'm enjoying every second of it. My best friend (and nextdoor neighbor), Jessica is on the team too. She's helped me a LOT! She's lent me her bat and her helmet, plus gave me tips on throwing and batting. We are the Dixie Chics and I'm #2. Jessica is #4.

I haven't much more to say for now. I hope you liked my second blog post!
