50 Books in a Year

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Hey, like the title suggests I am reading 50 books in one year. Crazy right? But so far I've done not to bad I'm reading book fifteen right now. I have a theory on how I read so fast... time slows down when I pick up a book and begin reading. Still sound crazy don't I.

On to a different subject I will to be entering Mom's Bernard Pivot Blogfest like my younger sister. should I do it form my POV or a character from a book? Give me your feed back on my problem.
Okay well I get downstairs and do my homework.
Peace

I HATE MUSIC

Hi! It's Sidney J As you can see my topic is "I hate music"; not all music, just school music. I don't like music class. My teacher is more into music than me, and she expects LOTS from us. Of which, I can not deliver because I suck at playing the recorder. Also, in the lunch room, they make us listen to multiplication songs that tone deaf people sang. I hate them (the songs, not the tone deaf singers). When the songs are on, we have to be silent, or sing along. They've just started making us listen to these songs, two every 15 minutes. Me and my friends are starting a petition against them.

In other news, I found a new book to read today. It's called Code Orange, by Caroline B. Cooney. It's about a kid named Mitty Blake. He has to do an assignment on a disease of his choice. He finds a book his parents have and finds a scab with a whole new disease on it. The disease spreads all around New York City. It's an edge-of-your-seat book!

Now, I'm going to go back to talking about my music teacher. She makes us practice the recorder and perform songs to earn "strings," which are tied to the end of our instruments. They signify our progress. (<-- says my Mom...) I unravel my strings then braid each color into one long strand, for the heck of it. (Hope you don't do this during class... [<-- Mom, again!] I'm sorry for the commentary; my mom is typing this for me.)

I have to go, do my homework, but check back later because I'm going to post an entry to my mom's Bernard Pivot Blogfest. See you then!

Peace out.

Hi, I'm back!

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Hello,  like my younger sister I haven't made a post in over a year. My life has changed dramatically since my last post I'm now in the seventh grade and loving (almost every second) of it. Over the past year I've cut my hair, changed my style, almost ended tweendom. (Thank God for that.) By the way if anyone reads this post please follow and tell other bloggers to do the same.
We finally went back to France this past year and as I'm sure my mom told you had a great time. After we got home back to Geo-r-gia adopted a new kitty named Lily and she is crazy but very relaxed.
To answer my sister's question in her post, you don't mess with hormonal tween girls. To keep your mind reeling, how do you work with crazy teen guys? Leave a comment if you have my sought after answer. Peace.

Friends, homework, and fifth grade

Hi! I'm Sidney!!! I haven't blogged in almost a year! So guess what!, I'm in the FIFTH GRADE! As I'm typing this my mom is correcting me on spelling, I am a VERY bad speller.

I have so much to say! So I'll start with books.I've read so mamy good ones. I'll go in order. First The Maze Runner  by James Dashner, who also wrote the Scorch Trials (the sequel). It's about a 16 year old kid that wakes up only knowing his name in a big metal box, when it opens he finds like 40 other boys staring down at him. Next, Paranormalcy by Kiersten White about a 16 year old girl that can see through paranormal glamors  and lives in the IPCA which is a organization that captures and secures paranormals. Both authors have blogs, so I've made their names links J'.[[ I  just learned wingdings!

Hey, anyone know how to deal  with hormonal tween girls? If you find out PLEASE tell me !
Thats all the time I have.  I have to go do homework :(   Bye!
